Events start at $300 per hour with a two-hour minimum. Every event is quoted individually once we know headcount, venue and travel, and that quote is one number with nothing added later.

Two hours is the minimum and covers groups up to about 30. Past that, or if you want the lanes open the whole event rather than a set window, three to four hours keeps the line moving.

Summer weekends in the Roaring Fork Valley go early. If you have a date, reach out even if nothing else is settled. Weekday and off-season dates are usually wide open.

Travel is folded into the quote rather than billed separately. Tell us the venue and the number you get covers getting there.

Cole, the owner. He quotes the event, answers the phone, and shows up on the day. There is no booking system in the middle.

The trailer range is an enclosed, caged range on wheels that handles bigger crowds and stays lit after dark. The freestanding targets are portable lanes we carry in and set on the ground, better for homes and tighter spaces. There is a full side-by-side on the setups page.

The trailer needs a level spot a truck can back into. The freestanding targets need roughly a 20 by 30 foot area, ideally on grass. Neither needs power or water.

No. Both setups are freestanding. Nothing gets driven into the ground and nothing is attached to a building or a fence.

Both setups are outdoor. If the forecast looks rough we talk it through ahead of time, whether that means shifting the window or moving under cover the venue already has.

The trailer range has lit lanes, so receptions and after-dark parties are no problem. For the freestanding targets it depends on what lighting the venue already has.

None. Most people who throw with us have never held an axe. A coach runs the lanes the entire event and first-timers are usually sticking throws within a few minutes.

Guests rotate through in small groups with a coach. Everyone else watches from close up, which is most of the fun. Give us your headcount and we will tell you how long you actually need.

Alcohol is normal at the weddings and parties we work. The coach controls the lanes and will turn away anyone who should not be throwing. Everyone signs a waiver first.

A coach controls the throwing area the entire event and spectators stay behind the line. Age limits depend on the group and the event, so raise it when you reach out and we will talk it through.

We bring targets, axes, safety setup, lighting and the coach, plus full setup and teardown. You bring the guests and the venue.

Constantly. Most of our summer is up the valley. Aspen, Snowmass, Woody Creek, Basalt, El Jebel, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs are all normal working days for us. More on valley events.

No. There is no permanent axe range anywhere in the Roaring Fork Valley, which is why we built a mobile one and haul it up from Grand Junction.

Regularly. The freestanding targets go on a lawn or courtyard, and the trailer parks in a driveway or turnaround if there is room to back in.
